Benin City Deanery CMO condoles with Archbishop Akubeze over the death of Pope Francis, donates for Priests training



 Benin City Deanery CMO, pay a condolence visit to Archbishop Akubeze over the demise of Late Pope Francis, donate 7 million for the training of priest*

It was a dual visit to the Archbishop of Benin City Metropolitan See, Most Rev Augustine Obiora Akubeze at his Bishop's Court by the Catholic Men Organisation of Nigeria, (CMO) of Benin City Deanery as they commiserated with the Archbishop of Benin City over the passing away of the Catholic Pontiff on Easter Monday.

Meanwhile, the visit was however earlier planned for the presentation of the cash realised for the training of priests

The delegation which was led by the Deanery CMO Chaplain, Rev Fr Chris Odigie as well as the President of the Deanery, Mr Paul Ataihon was well appreciated by the Archbishop who expressed unreserved gratitude over the pastoral gesture of the Catholic Men.

Archbishop Akubeze recalled that a similar visit was paid last year where the men also donated to the growth of the priest's formation, while praying for God to reward their  generosity 

On the pasage of the Holy Father, Akubeze stated that the it is all Catholics that are mourning the loss  of the Late Pope.
He further called for prayers for his peaceful repose,whie urging all men to be fully active at the Requiem Mass for the Late Pope on Easter Friday, as well as the 9 days mourning period declared by the Church.
