Ahiara Media Chaplaincy Delivers Crucial Health Know-How in Successful Breast Cancer Seminar

​In a vital step toward promoting public health and community wellbeing, the Media Chaplaincy of the Catholic Diocese of Ahiara, specifically the Holy Family Chaplaincy Aboh Urban, successfully organized a public awareness seminar on Saturday, October 4, 2025.

​The event, held at the Holy Family Catholic Chaplaincy in Aboh Urban, Mbaise, Imo State, Nigeria, was a significant effort aligned with the global observance of October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The program operated under the inspiring theme, "Pilgrims of Hope: Uniting against Breast Cancer," focusing on arming the local community with life-saving information.

​Expert-Led Education and Empowerment

​The highly successful program was anchored by renowned health expert, Sister Grace Akunna John-Emezi, HHCJ. Sister Akunna delivered a comprehensive and accessible session, providing participants with in-depth knowledge on crucial aspects of breast health.

​Her presentation covered essential, practical topics, including early detection techniques, prevention strategies, available treatment options, and general health management tips. The goal was to equip the congregation with the tools necessary for vigilance and proactive health management.

​Impact and Appreciation

​The seminar concluded with profound appreciation from both the leadership and the grateful participants. The Chaplain of Holy Family Chaplaincy, Reverend Father Jude Thaddeus Osondu, lauded Sister Akunna for sharing her invaluable expertise.

​Similarly, the Chaplaincy CWO President, Mrs. Pauline Eze, spoke on behalf of the congregation, expressing sincere gratitude for the wealth of knowledge gained. Participants praised their Chaplain for organizing the impactful learning opportunity, acknowledging the Chaplaincy's commitment to their holistic welfare. The event was unanimously deemed a resounding success, bringing glory to God.
