​Edo State is revving its economic engines as Skyewise Group announces plans to establish a state-of-the-art automobile assembly plant in the heart of the state.

​Dr. Elvis Abuyere, Founder and CEO of Skyewise Group, revealed that the decision was fueled by the investor-friendly climate fostered by Governor Monday Okpebholo. According to Abuyere, the administration’s SHINE Agenda has effectively turned Edo into a "preferred destination" for both local and international capital.

​After over a decade of dominating the Nigerian automobile retail market, Skyewise Group is shifting gears from sales to manufacturing. Here is what the project brings to Edo:

​Speaking to journalists in Benin City, Dr. Abuyere emphasized that the move is more than just a business expansion—it’s a strategic partnership with the state's vision.

​"Our goal is to ensure that we give a touch of excellence... we are looking forward to having our own assembly plant right here in Edo State, not just anywhere else in Nigeria," Abuyere stated.

​The Skyewise boss urged other entrepreneurs to act fast, noting that the state is rapidly evolving into a hub for youth-driven economic growth. By deploying modern technologies and fostering entrepreneurship, the Okpebholo administration is creating a "conducive environment" that makes long-term projects like an auto plant not just viable, but highly attractive.
